Cat is sick from drinking out of decorative fountain?

Question by rose: Cat is sick from drinking out of decorative fountain?
My cat used to have a pet fountain but it broke so I had go back to a regular bowl. I bought a decorative fountain about a month ago and caught him drinking from it recently, I noticed my cat is kind of sick now (he keeps licking and is lethargic, and eats less than he did before). Is he okay?

I think he might be fine. Sometimes it takes a few days to a week for a lot of stuff that animals do to get better. But, if it does continue, do see a vet.

Problems with the Pet Mate Fresh-Flow Fountain?

Question by Jezi: Problems with the Pet Mate Fresh-Flow Fountain?
Has anyone had problems with the above product leaking? Mine has been fine for almost a year and is cleaned regularly, sits on a flat surface, etc. But honest to god as I was sitting here answering another question, all the water just started to flow out of it onto my wood floor! Just curious if anyone else had a similar or other bad experience. Thanks!

I have had mine for about a year, and I have not had any problems with it. I was a little disappointed with it because my cats did not like it as much as I thought they would. They still want me to turn the water in the sink on for them.

HELP! My dog won’t drink out of her new pet fountain?

Question by Shaelyn: HELP! My dog won’t drink out of her new pet fountain?
Help! We just got a new running water fountain for our dog, but she won’t even come near it. It runs so quietly you can’t even hear it at all. I’ve tried turning it off, but she still won’t approach it, even with her favorite treats near the outside of it. I also put a regular water bowl beside it, and she’ll drink out of that, but not out of the water fountain. What should we do?

try turning off the flow and see if she will drink out of the bottom part of it. when she gets used to it, she’ll be more likely to approach it when it’s on. if that doesn’t work, she might just not like it and you can always sell it on ebay and make back part of what you paid for it.
