well all birds should have 40% pellets 40% veggies/fruits and less than 20% seeds (seeds should only be feed as treats) in their diet. Apples, peas, and bananas are good for fruits and veggies. Ask your AVAIN vet the next time you go for the YEARLY check-up.

they all like sprayed millet, and try sliced up grapes, cooked rice, boiled eggs shell in all……

and they can eat apples grapes bananas chick weed dandelion leaves alfalfa sprouts and millet spray how ever all the fruits and vegetables you feed them have to be organic

Color and shape of ears, length of tail. Also the way you carry your arms and hands. For mouse they should be closer to your body and chest, hands curled.
Might try buying a fake mouse nose too.

these cats are most likely experiencing an allergic reaction. And if you keep putting a flea product on them it could become much worse or deadly. Seizures do occur with flea medicines. More common with over the counter flea products but all have the potential do cause seizures. If the cats are kept indoors, the house de-fleaed, then there will be no reason to use these products.

Doing it yourself is ALWAYS cheaper. Not so sure about the Furminator, though. I don’t know how effective they would be on a dog with such a thick undercoat.

I have Shetland Sheepdogs, and I use a rake on the thickest areas, and a fine toothed flea comb on their heads and legs. Bathing is a chore, but it really helps. And in the case of Shelties, a good conditioner/detangler is a must.

i have 3 huskies… here is the best part about them…. you never really need to bathe them!!! they were bred to be extremely clean (Siberia: extremely cold and bathing a dog would freeze the dog)… but i still like to give them a bath every so often just to get rid of their shedding… i bathe twice a year (start of shedding season), and take them to the groomers after every shedding period (because honestly i find it more convenient to pay 50 dollars per dog, than waste my entire day cleaning buckets of hair)…

In the end… it is cheaper to do it yourself but sometimes after the major shedding has been done it is more convenient to have someone else do it.

PS… brush your dog at least every other day with a two coat brush…the FURminator is an example of a two coat brush but i have the rake thing it works better… and my house is not a mess after i started using the rake thing

Furminators are great but I would more strongly recommend an undercoat rake like the one in the picture below.

Huskies shed A LOT and this is a much more efficient “comb” to really take care of the shedding and undercoat. Huskies are commonly expensive to have groomed (every 6-8 wks) because they are a large breed, so I would definitely invest in one of these to help with the shedding between or instead of going to the groomer.

FURminator! It’s the best money I ever spent on a grooming tool. It get SO much hair off of my GSD and my VERY heavy-coated mutt. I put tons of hair out for the birds to use in their nests. I absolutely love the FURminator.

frontline will take 24 hrs to kill the fleas on him. you will also need to flea spray your whole house and car. maybe bath him as well to get rid of the flea dirt and soothe his skin.

If the Frontline doesn’t do it, take the dog to your vet and get him a Capstar, it is cheap enough and very effective – gets all the fleas off within the hour (sooner usually).

When I get a foster in who is infested with fleas, first thing I do is get him a Capstar, then I give him a bath – then I put on Advantix (Frontline is fine, but you need Frontline Plus if you want to keep ticks off too).

In really severe infestations, Capstar is what you need for the first de-flea treatment, then you put the monthly topical liquid on once the dog is flea free.

I was going to choose that option of tabs but i decided not too thinking about the side effects, here is how i control fleas and ticks, i found this to work effectively, I first wash my dog with regular dog shampoo, no picky brand, I do this a couple of cylces to help remove any dirt or film, then i wash with frontline flea and tick shampoo to help it take better, Then to better help on saving flea shampoo, i will dust her once a week with 5% seven dust till the end of the month, i will only see her scratch maybe two or three times in a month, thats not counting when i am not at home, also when i feed her I will get Garlic cloves and boil them in water and pour it over her food every other day, the garlic helps becuase the oils come out through the skin of wich fleas dont like garlic, (kind of vampire like) seems like alot to do but ive done many different ways to back off ticks and fleas i have noticed that this has been the most effective,in keep in fleas and ticks off. if you have anymore questions about anything email me at pitbullraiser@earthlink.net

you are right, time released can not be split. just make sure that you split the tablet correctly.

I used this in the past. It is a contraceptive for the fleas themselves. It isn’t timed release, so yes you could split tablets. I had good results with it, but not as good as I do with Frontline.

I use to pay about five dollars a month for the pills. I don’t know what they run now. I would suggest you look into Frontline Plus topspot. It runs about fifteen dollars a tube and is wonderful. I think it works much better than Program. And I only use about a half a tube a month on my golden. It works for about six weeks. You might check up on Frontline too.
