Question by Ohno: Groomers, do the new furminator or fur buster combs give the same type results as a stripping knife might?
Any tips from experience that might help me use the comb effectively?
I’ll be using it on my Schnauser mix.
The instructions that came with the tool were not detailed.

It depends on teh breed of dog. I would not recommend it on a schnauzer type coat.

The furminator works best with double coated breeds like goldens, huskies, and chows.

If you are thinking it’s to be used to strip, like hand stripping, then no, I would not use it. It’s used to get undercoat out.
