Hi Ally…Frontline and Advantage are generally the best products to use which is available in Canada as well.

Apparently you can purchase these over the counter according to this Canadian website:
Frontline: http://www.canadadrugs.com/otc/product/Frontline+Plus+for+Cats+(Green+Box)/6245/
Advantage: http://www.canadadrugs.com/otc/product/Advantage+Orange+-+Small+Cat+Under+9+lbs+%28%3C4kg%29/6153/

What is an inexpensive flea control product for dogs?

Question by KadisMom: What is an inexpensive flea control product for dogs?
What is an inexpensive flea control product for dogs? I have used Frontline before but it is SO expensive. Any ideas?

I have got to say that either Frontline or K9 Advantix (which also kills ticks) is your best bet. I live in an area that can have fleas year round (unless we have a hard freeze) and they’re the only things that work. $ 10 or so a month is not that bad for a flea-free environment. If you get them in your house you’ll have a real problem!!
